Support. Engage. Achieve.
The Positive School Discipline Institute offers annual training opportunities for school personnel to reform disciplinary practices and promote student academic success. The program provides educators with the tools to help teachers, administrators, student resource officers, and support staff improve school learning environments and reduce exclusionary discipline. PSDI also provides programs for pre-service teachers, youth service organizations, and community members. CPLI is the recipient of a three-year grant (2022-2025) through the Indianapolis African American Quality of Life Initiative to provide trainings on culturally-responsive, trauma-informed practices with training fees waived for the Indianapolis area.

Schools must become places where all children thrive.
Why is this important?
Equipping educators with strategies rooted in culturally-responsive, trauma-informed practices can lead to improved school climates, positive learning environments, and greater academic achievement among all students.
