& LAW INITIATIVE OF INDIANA
Mission Statement: CPLI advocates for systemic changes for children so that programs, policies and practices are developmentally appropriate, equitably administered and fair, and provide the necessary support for a child’s successful transition to adulthood.
OUR WORK
Advocacy
The PSDI program provides tools to help administrators, school support service staff, teachers, and school resource officers reduce exclusionary practices and provide strategies to improve learning environments for all students.
LEARN MORE
The Youth Justice Leadership Program helps develop leadership skills among youth to advocate for youth justice and ending the school-to-prison pipeline. Youth assist in crafting solutions to address the systemic issues and root causes of behavior.
Coalition Building
CPLI collaborates with community partners to provide expert knowledge, conduct research, arrange workshops and conferences, and promote community-led efforts to reform laws and improve policies, practices, and programs to reduce the number of children entering the juvenile and criminal justice systems.
